During so called “Arab spring” in 2010, when I witnessed the horror and pain that Egyptians experienced I made this drawing for compassion, which fortunately took worldwide attention back in those days.
For this artwork I received the Jury Award for 'The Best Editorial Drawing' from the Dutch Foundation for Political Drawings, Pers & Prent, in 2011.
