Nanny Vriens – Koudenburg was a Dutch visual artist with a deeply intuitive style, working for over 30 years and creating more than 300 expressive works. Her journey began in ceramics and evolved into painting—shifting from watercolors to bold acrylics on paper and canvas.

Her work blends abstraction and figuration, exploring themes of transformation, memory, place, and the human experience. Inspired by everything from cityscapes to emotional states, Nanny painted with instinct and emotional honesty.

Her final work, “Death Valley National Park, USA”, marks the close of a powerful legacy—one that continues to move and inspire.
